More than a directory, Hola Memphis has been a guide for immigrants in our city. Since its first edition, we have ensured that our valuable information reaches all of our immigrant families, many of them recent arrivals. The aim is for families to find a guide on how to navigate the city, and access the services available to them. We would love to have the support of your organization. Participating in the third edition of HOLA Memphis - Directory for Immigrants and Newcomers will support reaching a diverse pull of students and families. Advertising in this publication will visibly promote the vision and mission of your institution with our growing Latino community. Not only will participating in this edition bring an awareness to the community about your organization, it will help organizations and community partners learn about the services that you have to offer.
Hola Memphis has become a window to non-proft organizations that support women who are victims of domestic violence, families with members who have disabilities, immigrants at risk of deportation, as well as resources in the city including shelters, distribution of emergency food, health services, and basic and important errands such as opening a bank account, enrolling children in school, explaining what an ITIN number is, or where your consulate is located.
The 3rd Edition of the Survival Telephone Directory, like the two previous ones, is only possible with the generous collaboration of sponsors, which allows us to make it free and accessible for all families. The directory has been distributed through organizations such as Memphis Shelby County School, Church Health, Shelby County Health Department, Latino Memphis, CasaLuz, LUCES, Mariposas Collective, among others.
The Hola Memphis Directory is our heartfelt contribution to help our growing immigrant community, so that their life in this city is a beacon of hope and a stepping stone to achieve their American dream.
