Greetings Community Partners and Adopters,
As we enter the holiday season, Memphis-Shelby County Schools has our eye on one essential gift to share with our students: the gift of literacy. We are working diligently to increase the number of students reading on grade level by the time they reach 3rd grade, and we need your support to equip our classrooms and teachers with the literacy materials for grades K-5.
Our teachers and leaders on campus have helped us identify literacy resources per grade level that would be most beneficial for literacy instruction. These materials aid in developing phonemic skills, expanding vocabulary, and instilling confidence in students that will cultivate a lifelong love of reading. With just a few clicks, you can assist us in purchasing classroom sets of each resource at the listed prices. By donating these valuable literacy resources, we can serve 1,941 classrooms across the District, equipping teachers with the necessary tools to create print-rich, literacy-centered classroom environments to help our children excel. Attached, you will find a list of identified resources that schools have requested, by grade band, as well as a list of schools with the number of classrooms in need of resources.
