Memphis HBCU College Fair Fund

Starting on October 31st and concluding on November 5th, juniors and seniors in the Mid-South will get the opportunity to be recruited by representatives from as many as 35 historically black colleges and universities.

This college tour, presented by the HBCU Awareness Foundation, offers a unique twist in its delivery. Traditional college fairs require students to leave their high schools and travel to one location with many recruiters. This college fair is mobile, and will bring the recruiters to the students on Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday and Friday, students will be transported to Streets Ministries and Hickory Towne Centre, respectively

The tour will kick off with an evening recruitment fair at Horn Lake in Horn Lake, MS on October 31st at 5:00 pm and ending at 8:00 pm. Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church will host an evening fair on November 3rd, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Lastly, Hickory Towne Centre will also host an evening recruitment fair on November 5th, beginning at 5:00 pm and concluding at 8:00 pm. This event, at each of these locations, is open to the public. We anticipate more than 6,500 mid-south students will get a chance to connect with these colleges for on-site admissions opportunities and accept available scholarships.

Over the last two years, this recruitment fair has placed 480 students in HBCUs, many with partial or full scholarships.

Your contribution to this effort will help to cover costs associated with transportation for students to attend the fair throughout the week.
