This upcoming 2016 -17 season, we are in the process of building another championship year at Southwind High School. We will continue to promote a program that not only stresses athletic ability, but will also encourage academic achievement, teamwork, and community service, while molding character and building self-esteem in our student athletes. Southwind High Basketball is about to embark on a "trip of a lifetime". We stress to our youth that dreams do come true and this trip to Honolulu, Hawaii to play in the prestigious Ioloni Basketball Tournament will truly be a dream come true. This trip will allow the student athlete to experience life beyond their wildest dreams and compete against some of the top high school basketball teams in the country. The tournament will be held December 15 - 22, 2016 at Ioloni Prep School. Our student athletes have worked extremely hard for this type of sports opportunity. We’ve always stressed to our kids the importance of hard work so that they would be ready when the opportunity presented itself. This tournament is a great time for our kids and will allow them the chance to showcase their talents nationally. The Southwind High School Basketball Program is dedicated to preparing, nurturing and transitioning local youth into future leaders in their community by encouraging academic success, discipline, and overall sports excellence on the court and in the classroom.
