WSHS Community Courtyard Maintenance Fund

WSHS Community Courtyard Maintenance Fund

White Station High School has recently completed Phase 1 of the Community Courtyard Project. While we prepare the plans for Phase 2, we are fundraising for a reserve that will fund maintenance for both sides of the courtyard in the years to come.

Academically, White Station is unsurpassed; physically, it faces many challenges. The administration has recently addressed several deferred maintenance issues.  But with your help, we can do even more. We created a Master Plan, along with the University of Memphis Architecture Department, students, parents, faculty, administrators, and alumni.  We hope for this process to spread to other Shelby County Schools. You can see an overview of the Master Plan here; and the entire Master Plan here.  Upon completion of our Community Courtyard, we will proceed with our library expansion and a three-story STEM building.   You can read the more detailed Case for Support here

Community Courtyard

We have completed Phase 1 of the Community Courtyard.  It is immensely popular with students and teachers alike, and the Outdoor Classroom is in high demand.  You can see Phase 1 of our project here.  Updates and photos are here.  Phase 2 will be a major thoroughfare, and will include artwork by WSHS alum and well-respected Memphis artist, Rachel Briggs, who will lead WSHS students on some of the creations.
