Cummings Elementary School Family Support Center Fund

The deadly fire on Severson Avenue in South Memphis took the lives of 10 people on September 12.  Victims Alonzo Ward, 7, Diamond Jett, 8, Ernest Jett, 9, and Cameron Hollingsworth, 9, were students at Cummings School.  To help keep the memory of these children alive, WMC-TV, Shelby County Schools and SchoolSeed are partnering to raise money for a new family support center at the school. The first items that will be purchased for the support center are a washer and dryer so students can have clean clothing to wear to school. The school would also like to have a clothes closet for students at the school, and these funds will help greatly.
