More than ever, today's high school kids need opportunities that connect them to future careers. That’s why Hamilton and Kingsbury elected to offer career-focused education through a national program called National Academy Foundation (NAF). Enrolled students participate in structured career academies from 9th-12th grade. The program marries career-specific curriculum with experiential learning opportunities like workplace tours, job shadowing and internships with employer partners. Local employers and business representatives from Health Sciences and IT industries participate on the Career Academy Industry Advisory Boards and help make sure the students get rich work-based learning experiences.
